Understanding the client's needs begins during the primary consultation with our Web Account Executives. Functionality, site structure, and navigation are considered throughout the design and into the HTML phase. Raw coding allows us to produce sites which do not share many of the pitfalls inherent in using proprietary HTML authoring software, providing our clients with clean, well-managed code.

Strict guidelines for quality control and testing have been implemented allowing us to deliver a product on time and according to spec.

PROJECT DESCRIPTION
Catalogs

Each catalog has the capacity to contain separate categories and subcategories of products.
Each catalog has an introductory page, with an image and descriptive text to provide information concerning the catalog itself. The image and descriptive text may be controlled via the admin tool.
Customers will select which catalog to view, and be provided with a menu of product categories and subcategories, that will allow effective organization of products for sale in the online store.
Categories
Each category of products supports an image and descriptive text, to provide information concerning that category/subcategory and the products within. The image and descriptive text may be controlled via the admin tool.
 The main product categories implemented in the initial catalog set up during the course of this project will include:
  • Category 1
  • Category 2
  • Category 3....etc.
Upon entering a product category, users will be able to move to a subcategory of products (if there is one), or select a product from the list provided.
Subcategories
Each subcategory may have information such as an image and descriptive text, to provide information about the subcategory and the products within. If entering a subcategory, a list of products within that subcategory will be provided. In the list of products, each product will be displayed by:
  • Product name
  • Product number
  • Summary
  • Thumbnail image
Clicking on a product will display a page providing the following information:
  • Product name
  • Product number
  • Description

*Optional variations may be set for products (ie. Deluxe Version, Standard Version, etc.). Each option may have a separate main image and thumbnail. Each option for a product may have a separate cost. Separate drop-down menus are provided to select Option 1 and Option 2 for any product.
**The documentation allows supplemental documentation, such as PDF brochures, to be attached to a product in the database, to be downloaded by customers desiring more information about a product.
***Related Products are other products that are considered "related" to the product being viewed (ie. Accessories, etc.). Related Products will be displayed in a sidebar of the main page displaying the full information about a particular product. Clicking on a related product will bring the customer to a page displaying the full information about that product. Related Products are designated by the Admin Tool.
If a user desires to make a purchase, they may add any desired products to the shopping cart and proceed to check the items out.
Product Search
A search window will allow customers to type in a keyword for a product they are looking for. A search will be run against the database of products, and any products found will be displayed in a list of "hits". Clicking on a product will display the page providing detailed information about that product.
Shopping Cart
The shopping cart will display a list of all items that have been selected by the user for purchase. Included will be quantity, price, and subtotal. The user may choose to adjust the quantity of items available for purchase, remove items from the cart, or proceed to the order confirmation screen.
Order Confirmation
This screen will summarize the items that are to be ordered, and provide a subtotal. Users may choose to modify their order or continue to the order screen.

This screen will collect all Information necessary to complete an order. The following data will be collected:

Once the order screen has been filled, the information for the order including all contact information from the order screen, and specification of the item(s) being purchased, will be collected in the database. Real-time processing of credit card verification will be used to validate purchases. An automatic e-mail confirmation will be sent to the client. This e-mail will Include a tracking code for the transaction, will be printable, and will serve as a receipt. For those clients who don't have e-mail access, a page will be provided with the same info, which is also printable.
 Database
This part of the project will involve the development of an MSSQL database that will be used to store information and run the more functional parts of the website. Cold Fusion will be used to communicate with the database.The cost of database development is included in this proposal.
Admin Tool
This tool will allow Aftershock the opportunity to maintain and upgrade the specified database driven section(s) of the website through a secure on-line directory. This can be done by a user with limited knowledge of the Internet or HTML (hyper-text mark-up language) and will allow aftershock. to be empowered in implementing any updates to the website - thereby reducing future maintenance and upgrading costs.
User Tool
This feature will allow updating and maintenance of the list of administrators provided with access to the admin tool. The following abilities will be provided:

Roles Tool
This function of the admin tool will allow the global administrator to create roles within the admin tool. Roles are used to create group assignments of abilities such as staff levels. All users with a particular role are provided specific abilities within the admin tool. The following abilities will be provided:

Order Processing Tool
The admin tool
will allow the processing of orders through making use of this set of functions in the Admin Tool. These functions will be UserID and password protected.

Edit/Process/delete order**
*Any time that an order is processed, the date of processing is marked. Once an order has been processed, it will be moved into a "Shipped/Processed" folder, where it will remain available if desired, but will not occupy the incoming orders screen. Clicking on any status of orders will display a list of all orders with that current status. Clicking on an order will allow the full information about that order to be displayed.
**When an order Is viewed, all information submitted by the customer is displayed. The administrator will have the option to choose to send an automatic e-mail to the client upon change of status of their order, and will be able to write the content of that e-mail to be sent. Additionally, notes regarding an order may be added, edited, or deleted, to be accessed by the administrator at will.
 System Tool
This function will allow the administrator to maintain and update information regarding shipping, order destinations, and taxation. The following abilities will be provided:

*Each shipping type must be assigned to one or many categories or subcategories. All products within the assigned categories or subcategories will cost the price assigned to that shipping type to ship.

change of the client project contact person/people, consistently missed deliverables, an inability to contact the client due to external factors, or any other client-imposed situation that will significantly Impact Aftershock's ability to deliver the project on-time and In accordance with the original project specifications. Additional Project Management costs may be incurred as a result of closing and re-opening a project. Aftershock is not responsible for additional costs Incurred by third party hosting.
If work ceases for a period of 30 days, Aftershock reserves the right to bill for all completed work.
Aftershock develops websites and web applications based on the specifications outlined herein (see Appendix 'B"). Upon project completion, the client assumes full responsibility for the site Including future work to accommodate such events as, but not limited to, server upgrades and browser upgrades.
This Agreement prohibits the client from hiring any Aftershock staff directly or indirectly related to the proposed work for a period of not less than one year after the completion of Aftershock's services.
If any provision of this Agreement Is held by a court of competent jurisdiction to be contrary to law, the remaining provisions of the Agreement will remain In full force and effect.
If you would like additional elements incorporated into the website proposal that were not discussed herein please do not hesitate to contact us and we will submit a revised quote for your consideration.
Web Services are offered by Aftershock in accordance with the hourly rates specified in the Cost Summary. Rates and fees do not Include applicable taxes. Any additional work above and beyond what is written in this contract will be subject to our regular hourly rates and charges. Declined payments will be subject to a $25.00 handling fee. A late payment charge of 1.0% per month may be applied to any Invoice for which payment has not been received by Aftershock by the payment due date printed on the Invoice. If an outstanding balance has not been paid by the client within 30 days, Aftershock reserves the right to suspend work until such time the account is paid. At such time the account is paid, the original timeline will be re-evaluated and a new schedule may be created for the remainder of the work. If an account Is in arrears for 60 days (or longer), the account will be closed.
The development of an intranet or other work not hosted by Aftershock will require payment either In advance of development or upon delivery of the final product.
For the duration of any contract,  Aftershock will be the sole provider of development services.  Aftershock reserves the right to bill for all completed work and terminate the contract if any changes/modifications are completed by another party before the contracted work has been fully completed. Any changes/modifications by another party should commence only when all work done by  Aftershock has been approved, posted live and paid for.
 Aftershock reserves the right to alter its pricing terms upon one month's prior notice, which may be provided to you in writing.
This agreement shall be governed by and construed according to the laws in force In the Province of India. The Invalidity or unenforceability of any provision of this contract or any covenant herein contained shall not affect the validity or enforceability of any other provision or covenant herein contained and such invalid or unenforceable provision or covenant shall be deemed to be severable.
